In 1986, a husband and wife team with a larger-than-life vision for what an optical shop could be set out to open Optical Image. Darrah Wagner believed that glasses were more than just a tool for seeing; she envisioned them as a way for individuals to express their uniqueness. Alongside her husband, Gary, she embarked on a quest to share this passion. They continuously searched the globe to bring unique and creative frames to their small town, making Optical Image one of a kind. Their mandate was strong: they greeted customers by name, addressed problems with warm smiles, demonstrated strength through quality workmanship, and offered advanced products.

Sasha Godenir, once a summer student at Optical Image, reconnected with the Wagners in 2006. This reunion led to the emergence of a new Optical Image, where customers could get their eyes checked alongside all the other fantastic offerings the shop had always provided. Their relationship was powerful, and they never looked back, growing their business together, having fun, and continuing their non-traditional approach to making eye care and glasses an awesome experience.
