Her name is Daina Funk, and she is the Director of Rooted Counselling. She has practiced in Steinbach and Southeast Manitoba under Russell and Associates since 2006, when their Steinbach office opened. Don Russell of Russell and Associates decided to focus on his Winnipeg practice as of April 1, 2019. Daina Funk has taken over the leadership of this fantastic team of counsellors who have been under his guidance over the years.

She believes that their team is a well-rounded group of professional counselling therapists who have been serving the community beautifully and will continue to do so. They will miss Don and are thankful for his leadership.

Rooted Counselling is a collection of independent mental health professionals. Each member works independently while acknowledging the giftedness and theory of practice each one employs. Their counsellors practice out of specific theories of change.

Each counsellor is able to modify treatment to meet individual client needs. If a counsellor does not have the necessary expertise, the client can be referred within the office to find the right fit for each client and therapeutic relationship.
