Immigration Essentials is a full-service immigration consulting firm founded by Christian Akwara. As a lawyer from Nigeria and an immigrant to Canada, Christian brings both professional and personal experience to assist clients with their immigration and citizenship goals.

Christian achieved some of the country’s highest academic honors, completing his law degree in 1997 and being called to the Nigerian Bar in 1998. He earned his Master of Law in 2000 and obtained further certifications in taxation, commerce, and arbitration during his legal practice and extensive private sector career.

His own immigration journey highlighted the confusion and challenges faced by many individuals seeking a safer and better life. After arriving in Canada through the Federal Skilled Worker program, he returned to school to become a regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant. Today, he runs Immigration Essentials, helping others navigate the various pathways to the country he now calls home.
