In the Philippines, Mr. Ortega gained significant experience working as an Associate Lawyer at Richard W. Sison & Associates and at Hermosisima, Sison, and Inso. His career progressed as he became the Principal Partner of Ortega and Mayol Law Office, where he specialized in general litigation, encompassing civil cases, criminal cases, and corporate matters.

Upon relocating to Canada, Mr. Ortega articled at the Law Office of Francisco Luna and was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2005.
