The Counselling Centre of East Algoma has evolved to meet the complex and diverse needs of mental health care in their community. Our services have expanded from general counselling to encompass a broad spectrum of mental health support. We now offer specialized services, including psychotherapy, general counselling, exposure trauma therapy, case management, and targeted interventions for issues such as addictions and family violence.

Our approach is deeply client-centered, acknowledging that mental health care is a continuous journey with varying needs over time. We understand that mental health can fluctuate based on individual circumstances, which is why their services are designed to adapt to these changes. This flexibility ensures that they provide appropriate support at every stage of a client's journey.

To address urgent needs, they have Crisis Intervention Workers stationed in both Elliot Lake and Blind River. Their role is to offer immediate assistance and support during critical situations, ensuring that help is available when it is needed most. At the Counselling Centre of East Algoma, they are committed to delivering comprehensive and responsive mental health care that meets the evolving needs of their clients.
