Description
The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) is tasked with the design, planning, and delivery of comprehensive health and social services throughout the Northwest Territories. Established on August 1, 2016, the NTHSSA is one of three key health and social services authorities in the region. It serves the Beaufort-Delta, Sahtu, Dehcho, Yellowknife, and Fort Smith regions and oversees the operation of the Stanton Territorial Hospital.
The NTHSSA is organized into five primary branches:
Office of the Chief Executive Officer: This branch provides corporate leadership and support, focusing on workforce planning, system collaboration, and governance to ensure effective leadership and management across the organization.
Clinical Integration: This branch encompasses Child, Family, and Community Wellness; Quality, Safety, and Client Experience; and Territorial Health Services. It is dedicated to integrating clinical practices and improving overall service delivery, ensuring that health and social services are coordinated and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Through its structured approach, the NTHSSA aims to enhance the health and well-being of individuals and communities throughout the Northwest Territories.
