Overview
The Lambton Law Association was established in 1904 in the City of Sarnia. The Association was incorporated under the Ontario Corporations Act in 2004.
The Association has approximately 100 members, consisting of lawyers from the County of Lambton and several out-of-county members. The Board of Directors convenes about 10 times each year to fulfill the Association's mandate.
The Association represents its members at all levels of government, advocates for their interests and activities, and provides a platform for discussing important issues. It organizes and promotes educational and professional development opportunities, as well as cultural, social, and recreational activities for its members and their guests. Additionally, it maintains and operates the Library and Practice Resource Centre for the use of lawyers who are in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
Local bar members are encouraged to join the Association to take advantage of the range of services offered, including social events.
